My name is Gina Edwards and I have set up this site as a support for those who have lost their partner or spouse, particularly for those for whom this loss has come at a young age. All people who have been bereaved are most welcome, but as a young widow in New Zealand, I wanted to create an online network for those who have lost their life’s partner much earlier in life than they ever expected.
This site aims to give those who want the support of talking to others in the same situation the opportunity to do so through the anonymity of an online forum. There are links to organisations that may be able to provide more specialised or expert help, and I’ve also started writing a series of articles about some of my own experiences since my husband’s death. These are in no way designed to be expert advice – they are simply the experiences of one person, which may or may not be of interest or benefit to others who have found themselves in the same position.
If you’ve lost the person you love, you may feel very alone. But you’re not. Lots of people care, and unfortunately, others in our community have also suffered the same sort of loss. Through this site, I hope you can find something - a comment, a contact, a conversation – that helps you through your grief.
